Job Summary
The Certified Medical Assistant will provide essential support to physicians during patient examinations, procedural tasks, and treatment sessions. This role emphasizes the importance of maintaining precise and detailed records in the electronic health record system.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and treatments.
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records.
- Provide patient education on health care procedures and treatments.
- Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
- Ensure a clean and organized clinical environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and current Medical Assisting certification in Iowa from an accredited program.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in clinical or outpatient settings.
- Familiarity with EPIC software is advantageous.
