Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician will assist Registered Nurses (RNs) in the initiation, monitoring, and conclusion of dialysis treatments, while prioritizing the safety and comfort of patients throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up hemodialysis machines for patient use.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs during treatments.
- Perform access cannulation as part of the dialysis procedure.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required.
- The candidate must be capable of passing the Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician exam within 18 months of employment.
- Comfort with blood and needles is essential.
- The ability to maintain a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the clinic is necessary.
