Job description
The role of the police officer involves ensuring safety and security through routine patrols and carrying out preliminary investigations of crimes within the City of Danville. Officers are expected to compile detailed written reports and react promptly to significant incidents involving police, fire, and accidents. Applicants are required to possess a high school diploma or GED, hold a valid driver’s license, and have previous experience as a sworn police officer. Additionally, a current KY POPS certification is mandatory for this position.
