Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technician plays a crucial role in healthcare settings, specializing in providing assistance during surgical procedures. Their expertise is essential in ensuring smooth operations in the operating room, supporting surgical teams, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and supplies before and during procedures.
- Assist surgeons and other medical personnel during surgeries by providing necessary support and ensuring the availability of tools.
- Maintain a sterile field, following strict protocols to prevent infections.
- Monitor patient vitals as directed and assist with patient positioning.
- Participate in the cleanup and restocking of the operating room post-surgery.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technician from an accredited program.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and medical terminology.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
- Prior experience in a surgical setting is highly advantageous.
