Job Summary
The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for the Operating Room (OR) at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, is a full-time position dedicated to delivering superior patient care. The role focuses on ensuring a seamless surgical experience by actively participating in surgical procedures and maintaining high standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Handle surgical instruments and supplies with precision, ensuring their proper use and availability for the surgical team.
- Facilitate the scheduling of surgeries, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to promote exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as required.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with medical staff and patients.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
