Job Summary
The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) will play a crucial role in ensuring that welding operations meet the required quality standards. This position involves reviewing, evaluating, and overseeing welding processes and documentation to maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections of welding operations to verify adherence to established specifications and codes.
- Review and interpret welding documentation, including procedures and qualifications.
- Provide guidance and support to welding teams to enhance compliance and quality.
- Prepare detailed reports of findings and suggest improvements as necessary.
- Participate in training programs to promote welding quality awareness among staff.
- Stay current with industry standards and advancements in welding technology.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, protocols, and safety standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Prior experience in welding inspection or quality control is preferred.
