Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) holds a vital role in overseeing the financial aspects and strategic direction of an organization. This executive position involves managing financial risks, providing accurate financial reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The CFO will collaborate closely with the executive team to foster long-term financial sustainability and growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the preparation and communication of financial reports to stakeholders, including the board of directors.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance operations and ensure accuracy.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring the organization maintains adequate financial resources.
- Work closely with other executives to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
- Monitor compliance with financial regulations and ensure controls are in place to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role.
- Strong understanding of finance and performance management principles.
- Excellent leadership abilities with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with financial software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strategic thinking and high-level negotiation skills are essential.
