Job description
**Children’s Librarian**
The Children’s Librarian is responsible for delivering reference assistance, creating engaging literacy programs, and overseeing the children’s collection to serve the needs of the community effectively. This role includes outreach activities with schools and organizations, mentoring library staff, and ensuring the children’s area of the library is well-maintained. Applicants must possess an ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies along with a Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate from New York State. Essential qualifications include strong interpersonal abilities, experience in youth programming, and a good command of library technologies.
