Job Summary
The Claims Specialist III is responsible for overseeing intricate and high-stakes casualty and excess claims. This role necessitates comprehensive investigations, meticulous evaluation of coverage, and the formulation of effective litigation strategies. Additionally, the position requires mentoring colleagues, ensuring adherence to reporting obligations, and working in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal outcomes for claims.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve complex casualty and excess claims.
- Conduct detailed investigations to ascertain claim details.
- Analyze insurance coverage to evaluate claims validity.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies.

Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience in casualty claims, with a focus on excess lines preferred.
- Possess strong analytical skills to assess claims comprehensively.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills to achieve favorable settlements.
- A bachelor’s degree is favored for this role.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CPCU, AIC, or SCLA are advantageous.
