Job Summary
The Club Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations at the golf resort, encompassing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll functions. This role includes managing staff and ensuring adherence to US GAAP standards while providing support to department heads on financial matters.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial activities including accounting, reporting, and budgeting.
- Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate financial records.
- Supervise finance staff and foster a compliant work environment according to US GAAP.
- Assist department managers with financial procedures and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably with exposure to public accounting and hospitality sectors.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
- In-depth understanding of US GAAP is necessary.
- CPA designation is highly preferred.
