Job Summary
The role involves managing or facilitating the self-administration of medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals. It emphasizes maintaining the organization of the medication supply room, conducting cart audits, and liaising with pharmacies for medication deliveries. This position is essential for ensuring that residents in an assisted living facility receive their prescribed medications safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Administer or assist residents in the self-administration of medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Oversee the medication supply room to ensure proper organization and availability of medications.
- Conduct regular audits of medication carts to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Coordinate and facilitate timely medication deliveries from pharmacies.
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a Medication Aide (CMA) certification in Kansas.
- Ability to work during 2nd or 3rd shifts in an assisted living setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and healthcare providers.
