Job Summary
The Cold Warehouse Forklift Operator for the 2nd shift is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment in a refrigerated warehouse environment. This role involves ensuring the efficient movement of goods and inventory management while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage the storage of products.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse protocols.
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and report issues as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cold storage items.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to work in a cold environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Forklift certification preferred.
