Cook (Prep)
Schedule: 6am–2:30pm | Monday–Friday + Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays
Location: Dover, OH | Compensation: $15/hr

Job Summary:
As a Cook, you will be responsible for the preparation, portioning, and serving of food in alignment with production sheets and recipes, ensuring adherence to high standards of safety, quality, and hygiene. This position also includes assisting with tray assembly, delivery, pick-up, and dishroom duties as necessary.

Primary Duties:

  • Prepare both hot and cold meals following specified recipes and production guidelines.

  • Accurately portion and present food items in an appealing manner.

  • Utilize kitchen equipment safely and effectively (including ovens, grills, food processors, etc.).

  • Contribute to the trayline process: assembling, delivering, picking up, and disassembling trays for patients.

  • Provide support to nutrition assistants to guarantee timely and quality service to patients.

  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards; keep your workspace organized and clean.

  • Assist during special meals or events; help to maintain and organize supplies.

  • Promptly report any equipment malfunctions and comply with all hospital regulations.

Requirements:

  • Completion of High School Diploma or GED.

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in food service or kitchen operations.
