Job Summary
The Ohio Consultative Pharmacy Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting the pharmacy’s functions by managing medication therapy and providing valuable consultations to healthcare professionals and patients. This position emphasizes collaboration to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safe medication use.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in conducting medication therapy management and consultations.
- Engage with healthcare professionals to relay necessary medication information.
- Review and verify medication orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Support patient education initiatives regarding medication use and health maintenance.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to develop and implement care plans for patients.
- Monitor and report on patient responses to medications and therapies.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in Ohio is required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with patients and professionals.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
