Job Summary
The Coordinator is responsible for overseeing patient placement services. This role includes managing the coordination of admissions and transfers through various hospital portals, as well as liaising with payers and clinics to verify patient care authorizations and eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient admissions and transfers across multiple hospital systems.
- Interface with payers and clinics for ensuring authorization and eligibility for care.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a medical group, managed care, or hospital admissions environment.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations is essential.
