Job Summary
The Lumber Sales and Customer Service Person is pivotal in driving sales and providing exceptional customer support in the lumber industry. This role combines product knowledge with excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction and facilitate successful sales transactions.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to assess their lumber needs and recommend suitable products.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an organized inventory and assist in stocking materials.
- Provide expert advice on product use, quality, and sourcing.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the lumber or construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
- Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing inventory.
- Familiarity with lumber products and their applications is a plus.
