Job Summary
The Computed Tomography Technologist specializes in the operation of CT scanners to generate cross-sectional images for the purpose of diagnosis. This role is critical in ensuring the production of high-quality diagnostic images and requires the administration of contrast media while managing intravenous lines effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography scanners to capture detailed radiographic images.
- Administer contrast agents and ensure proper maintenance of intravenous lines.
- Uphold high standards of imaging quality throughout the scanning process.
- Ensure compliance with continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
Qualifications
- Must possess certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with CT registration.
- Demonstrated proficiency in intravenous administration techniques.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.
