Job Summary
The Dedicated Regional Driver is responsible for transporting goods primarily within a specified region. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to schedules while maintaining a commitment to high-quality service. Drivers will develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring that deliveries meet their expectations and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products to various locations within the designated region.
- Communicate effectively with logistics personnel and clients regarding delivery statuses and schedules.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of working hours and trip distances.
- Adhere to all state and federal transportation regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Proven experience in a driving role, preferably in a regional capacity.
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and other route planning tools.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
