Job Summary
The Dental Assistant plays a pivotal role in assisting the dentist with fundamental dental care while overseeing the sterilization and organization of dental tools. This position involves preparing treatment areas, handling digital imaging, and ensuring adherence to safety and infection control standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist in delivering primary dental care services.
- Oversee the sterilization and management of dental instruments.
- Prepare operatories for dental procedures.
- Process digital images for dental diagnostics.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations and infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program is required.
- An active New Jersey Radiological Technology License is necessary.
- One to two years of relevant dental experience is preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support is mandatory.
- Must obtain Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician credential within six months of employment.
