Job Summary
The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in aiding dental practitioners by ensuring treatment areas are ready for procedures, maintaining the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments, and assisting with diverse dental practices. This position also entails taking digital X-rays, recording clinical observations, and educating patients on maintaining oral health.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures.
- Sterilize instruments to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures.
- Take digital X-rays for diagnostic purposes.
- Document clinical notes accurately.
- Provide oral hygiene education to patients.
Qualifications
- Must possess an active California Dental Assistant certification.
- X-ray certification is required.
- CPR/BLS certification must be current.
- Preferred one year of experience in dental assisting.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective communication skills are essential.
