Job Summary
The DevOps Systems Engineer position is based in Herndon, Virginia, and requires U.S. citizenship due to the specific nature of the tasks involved. An active security clearance is also necessary for this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage systems that facilitate the integration of development and operations.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance automation and improve processes.
- Monitor and maintain system performance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Implement best practices in configuration management, continuous integration, and deployment.
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree accompanied by over 9 years of pertinent experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in a related field.
- Proven expertise in DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Familiarity with various programming and scripting languages.
- Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure and services.
