Job Summary
The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the nutritional needs of patients or residents by assisting with the preparation and serving of meals. This position is vital in ensuring that dietary guidelines are adhered to while providing quality food service.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines.
- Ensure that food is served in an appealing manner while maintaining quality standards.
- Help maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas, equipment, and utensils.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and health care team members to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Monitor and document food intake and special dietary needs of residents or patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a dietary or food service role is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and dietary restrictions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing dietary needs.
