Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (DON) oversees the nursing department, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. This leadership role involves strategic planning, personnel management, and active participation in the development of clinical policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead nursing staff and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Monitor patient care standards and implement improvements when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departmental leaders to enhance patient outcomes.
- Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.
- Provide training and professional development for nursing staff.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
- Significant experience in clinical nursing and management roles.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and best practices.
