Job Summary
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the nursing operations within the facility, ensuring adherence to both state and federal regulations. This role involves managing the performance and development of the nursing staff, as well as acting as a crucial point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals to uphold exceptional standards of care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall nursing operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards.
- Manage and evaluate the performance and continuous development of nursing staff.
- Serve as a primary liaison between residents, their families, and medical professionals.
- Maintain and promote high standards of care throughout the nursing department.
Qualifications
- Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Current and unrestricted RN license is required in the state of Missouri.
- Strong understanding of long-term care regulations is necessary.
- Must hold current CPR certification.
