Job Summary
The Draftsman is responsible for maintaining the quality of drawings and CAD files while working in conjunction with various internal teams to ensure compliance with government regulations. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers regarding drawing methodologies and collaborating with manufacturing and sustainment teams for the enhancement of product documentation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of all drawings and CAD files.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure designs meet governmental standards.
- Guide junior engineers on effective drawing processes.
- Work closely with manufacturing and sustainment teams to revise and update product documentation.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in CAD.
- Strong proficiency in applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to engineering drawings.
- An Associate’s degree in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
- Must be eligible to secure a U.S. Secret security clearance.
