Job description

Job Summary

This position is for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP is responsible for promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring the well-being of clients in various settings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care.
  • Support clients in engaging with their communities and fostering social interactions.
  • Help implement individualized care plans and monitor client progress.
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times.
  • Documentation of client activities and progress as required.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members regarding client needs and progress.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in a similar role or caregiving field is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others.
