Job Summary
This position is for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP is responsible for promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and ensuring the well-being of clients in various settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities and personal care.
- Support clients in engaging with their communities and fostering social interactions.
- Help implement individualized care plans and monitor client progress.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients at all times.
- Documentation of client activities and progress as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other team members regarding client needs and progress.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience in a similar role or caregiving field is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others.
