Job Summary
The EMT-B serves a vital role in emergency medical services by ensuring the safe operation of emergency vehicles while delivering Basic Life Support (BLS) care to patients during their transport. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of patient care and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Operate emergency vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Provide BLS-level treatment to patients during transportation.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the emergency vehicle.
- Restock medical supplies as necessary.
- Complete patient care reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid New York State EMT-B certification.
- Current certification in CPR/BLS is required.
- Completion of mandated FEMA and state-specific training within the initial months of employment.
