Job Summary
The role of the Endoscopy Technician is pivotal in assisting medical professionals with endoscopic procedures. This position involves meticulous preparation, cleaning, and maintenance of endoscopic equipment, ensuring optimal functionality for various diagnostic and therapeutic tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize endoscopic instruments prior to procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations and interventions.
- Ensure proper handling and management of medical equipment.
- Maintain and organize endoscopic equipment and supplies.
- Document and report any equipment malfunctions or needs for repair.
- Follow established safety protocols and infection control measures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in endoscopy technology preferred.
