Job Summary
The engineer will be tasked with the crucial role of managing engineering and sourcing demands, which entails reverse engineering components of commercial aircraft to develop 3D CAD models and manufacturing documentation. Additionally, this position includes project management responsibilities and the preparation of comprehensive data packages for FAA certification processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee engineering and sourcing requirements for commercial aircraft parts.
- Reverse engineer parts to generate 3D CAD models.
- Create detailed manufacturing drawings based on models.
- Manage various engineering projects effectively.
- Prepare data packages necessary for achieving FAA certification.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is essential.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling is required, with a preference for SolidWorks expertise.
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 standards is necessary.
- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes is a must.
