Job Summary
The Engineering Technical Specialist is responsible for the upkeep of laboratory equipment, oversight of consumable supplies, and conducting surface preparation and thermal testing on flight hardware. This role involves working closely with Quality Assurance and collaborating with engineering teams to effectively plan and implement lab workflows.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and service lab equipment to ensure reliability and accuracy.
- Manage the inventory of consumables necessary for lab operations.
- Conduct surface preparation and thermal testing on flight hardware components.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance to uphold standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers to strategize and execute laboratory processes efficiently.
Qualifications
- High School diploma with a minimum of 6 years of pertinent experience or an Associate’s degree with at least 1 year of related experience.
- Strong capability in interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with aerospace material processing techniques is essential.
