Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the facility by effectively removing various forms of debris, including slabs, sticks, and sawdust. A key focus is to reduce safety and fire risks through thorough cleaning practices. Additionally, the role supports dust control measures and includes opportunities for cross-training on advanced machinery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness by removing debris such as slabs, sticks, and sawdust.
- Contribute to minimizing safety risks and fire hazards.
- Assist in dust mitigation efforts.
- Participate in cross-training for advanced equipment operation.
Qualifications
- Ability to work efficiently at a moderate to fast pace.
- Capability to lift weights ranging from 20 to 30 pounds continuously.
- High school diploma is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a sawmill environment is a plus but not required.
