Job Summary
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing housekeeping, laundry, and floor care personnel to guarantee adherence to facility policies as well as federal and state regulations. This role includes acting as a communicator between building administrators and staff while keeping accurate records related to supplies, personnel, and equipment used within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams.
- Ensure compliance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain clear communication between administrators and housekeeping staff.
- Document and track inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Oversee the training and performance management of staff members.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent necessary.
- A minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare setting with a focus on housekeeping and supervision.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods during work shifts.
