Job Summary
The EP Technician II position is designed for skilled technicians with expertise in electrophysiology. This role is integral in supporting a variety of procedural functions within a laboratory or clinical setting, ensuring smooth operations and patient safety during procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during electrophysiology procedures.
- Prepare and maintain equipment used in procedures.
- Provide patient care and monitor patients’ status pre, during, and post-procedure.
- Ensure the sterility and cleanliness of the procedural area.
- Document procedural outcomes and assist with data collection as required.
- Participate in quality assurance and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
- Certification as a cardiovascular technician or similar qualification is advantageous.
- Prior experience in electrophysiology or relevant clinical experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular principles and electrically based diagnostic procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to handle equipment and instruments with precision and care.
