Job Summary
The Epic Ambulatory Specialist is responsible for optimizing and supporting the Epic Ambulatory application, ensuring that it meets the needs of the healthcare organization. This role entails working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to enhance system functionality and improve overall user experience. The specialist will also provide guidance and training to users, allowing for effective system utilization.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the implementation and configuration of the Epic Ambulatory system.
- Conduct training sessions for users to enhance knowledge and proficiency in Epic applications.
- Serve as a point of contact for support and troubleshooting for ambulatory electronic health record (EHR) issues.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to gather requirements for system improvements and enhancements.
- Monitor system performance and recommend optimizations based on user feedback.
Qualifications
- Experience working with Epic Ambulatory applications is preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and health information technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with users.
- A degree in a related field is typically required, along with relevant certifications.
