Job description

**Job Title: Meteorological Research and Development Specialist**

This position focuses on enhancing the United States’ weather forecasting capabilities and streamlining the transition between research and practical operations for the Unified Forecast System. The role includes promoting community involvement via workshops, educational sessions, and collaborative open-science initiatives. It is intended for current or former participants of the EPIC program. Applicants should possess a background in scientific research or software development related to NOAA’s weather modeling projects.
