Epic Radiant Consultant

As an Epic Radiant Consultant, you will leverage your expertise in Epic Radiant, DICOM Modality Worklist, and imaging system integrations to facilitate a large-scale implementation involving over 1,000 modalities. Your role will encompass leading the construction of the Modality Worklist (MWL), validating DICOM workflows, integrating Sectra/PACS, and overseeing testing, troubleshooting, cutover, go-live, and the subsequent stabilization phase of the implementation.
Responsibilities of the Epic Radiant Consultant:
- Oversee and enhance the Epic Radiant Modality Worklist (MWL) setup and configuration processes.
- Deliver insights on Epic Radiant, DICOM, and HL7 processes, centering on imaging integrations.
- Guide the validation, testing, and troubleshooting of DICOM workflows in a complex imaging landscape.
- Facilitate the integration of Epic Radiant with PACS, Sectra, imaging modalities, and interface teams.
- Create, manage, and implement extensive testing plans for over 1,000 imaging modalities.
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to Radiant builds, interfaces, DICOM, and workflows identified during testing and deployment.
- Engage with both technical and clinical teams to validate imaging workflows and confirm systems align with operational needs.
- Ensure effective Sectra integration and seamless DICOM Modality Worklist operations for accurate information flow between Epic and imaging systems.
- Assist in cutover strategy, go-live preparations, readiness activities, and subsequent post-go-live support.
- Document all configurations, testing outcomes, identified issues, resolutions, and workflow decisions throughout the implementation process.
- Collaborate with project teams, interface analysts, application analysts, PACS teams, and vendors to synchronize implementation efforts.
- Recognize implementation risks and propose effective solutions to alleviate impact on clinical operations.
- Provide training and support to current Epic Radiant analysts, allowing for the continuation of their daily operational duties.
Qualifications for the Epic Radiant Consultant:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience with Epic Radiant.
- Possession of Epic Radiant Certification.
- Experience with Epic DICOM MWL.
- Familiarity with Sectra integration.
