Job Summary
The Patient Registration Representative plays a crucial role in the hospital by managing the patient registration process. This includes entering patient data into the hospital’s system, confirming insurance details, and securing necessary consent agreements. The representative also assists in the organization’s front-end operations to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Register patients within the hospital system accurately.
- Verify and update insurance information for patients.
- Obtain and ensure completion of necessary consent forms.
- Collect co-payment fees from patients as required.
- Operate the hospital switchboard efficiently.
- Assist in directing patient flow and maintaining orderly operations within the facility.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory for this position.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a hospital admitting department or a medical clerical environment.
