The Excavator Operator is tasked with the operation of heavy hydraulic machinery to carry out various functions including trenching, excavating, backfilling, and grading. This position also involves inspecting equipment, performing regular maintenance, and working closely with ground crews and supervisors to ensure effective coordination. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent, along with 2 to 5+ years of experience in operating heavy machinery. Essential skills for this role include strong mechanical knowledge, good spatial awareness, and the physical capacity to lift over 50 lbs.
