Job Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in identifying issues, executing repairs, and conducting preventative upkeep on both mechanical and electrical systems within a food manufacturing setting. The primary objective is to maintain optimal performance of production machinery while complying with rigorous safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure machinery operates at peak efficiency.
- Adhere to established safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience, ideally in the food sector.
- Demonstrated strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics effectively.
- Familiarity with safety regulations such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
