Job Summary
The Field Service Technician based in Houston, Texas, plays a vital role within the Drives Service department at ABB. This onsite position focuses on offering technical support, including troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, to ensure the optimal performance of drive systems. The technician aims to address product quality concerns, contributing to overall customer satisfaction while working closely with the Drives Service Manager.
Responsibilities
- Execute troubleshooting and repairs on drive systems to maintain functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to preemptively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with the Drives Service Manager to enhance product quality and service delivery.
- Provide hands-on engineering solutions to complex technical problems.
- Help reduce product quality issues through effective service interventions.
Qualifications
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience in service and maintenance.
- Ability to diagnose and solve technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and management.
- Experience in the industrial or drives sector is preferred.
- Familiarity with Copay Plans or High Deductible medical plans is a plus.
