Job Summary
The Flight Nurse collaborates closely with a Flight Paramedic to provide high-level critical care to patients during air transport. This role emphasizes direct patient care and is pivotal in managing the safety of both the aircraft and crew while maintaining essential medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced critical care to patients being transported by air.
- Oversee all aspects of direct patient care during flights.
- Maintain and manage medical equipment essential for patient treatment.
- Ensure the safety and security of the aircraft and its crew.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Emergency Department (ED), or trauma settings.
- Hold essential certifications, including BLS, ACLS, PHTLS/BTLS, PALS, NRP, and TPATC.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to comply with weight restrictions as required for the role.
