Job Summary
The Grinding Machinist on the 2nd shift is responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to produce precision metal parts. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to follow specifications to ensure high-quality output. The machinist will work with various materials and adhere to safety standards while maintaining efficiency in production.
Responsibilities
- Set up and program grinding machines according to specifications.
- Inspect finished components for accuracy and quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining preferred.
- Proven experience with grinding machines and familiarity with machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
