Job Summary
The Heavy Truck Field Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles in various locations. This role demands the ability to troubleshoot problems efficiently and resolve mechanical issues on-site while ensuring minimal downtime for our fleet.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic assessments on heavy trucks and equipment to identify mechanical issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and system checks.
- Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, and other critical vehicle components.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule repairs effectively.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients while onsite.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in diesel mechanics preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy trucks.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel regularly to various job sites.
