Job Summary
The Heavy Truck Field Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment at various job sites. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing mechanical issues, and providing effective solutions to ensure the vehicles are in optimal working condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine necessary repairs.
- Conduct repairs on-site or in the field, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance performed.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience in heavy truck repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues with heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
- Relevant certifications or training in automotive or diesel mechanics is preferred.
