Job Summary
The Instrument Fitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various instruments and equipment used in industrial settings. This role ensures that instruments function accurately and efficiently, contributing to the overall safety and effectiveness of operations.
Responsibilities
- Install and calibrate instruments and control systems according to specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and instruments.
- Interpret technical drawings and manuals to accurately position and fit instruments.
- Document all work performed, including maintenance records and calibration data.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve instrument reliability.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during installation and maintenance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Instrument Fitter or in a similar role within the industry.
- Strong understanding of instrumentation techniques and related standards.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications in instrumentation or related fields are preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
