Job Summary
The Insurance Verification Agent plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate verification of insurance coverage, copayments, and deductibles, facilitating prompt billing and authorization for patient services. This position serves as a crucial link between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to effectively manage the clinical authorization workflow.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage, copays, and deductibles.
- Ensure timely billing and authorization for patient services.
- Act as a liaison among patients, providers, and insurance carriers.
- Manage the clinical authorization process efficiently.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
