Job Summary
The Insurance Verifier plays a vital role in assessing patient financial information, confirming insurance coverage, and securing required authorizations ahead of surgical procedures. This position also acts as the main point of contact for patients on-site, overseeing tasks related to registration, collections, and support with scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Assess and determine patient financial situations.
- Verify insurance benefits and coverage details.
- Acquire necessary authorizations prior to surgical appointments.
- Act as the primary on-site liaison for patients.
- Manage patient registration processes and collection activities.
- Provide support for scheduling appointments.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficiency in operating standard office equipment.
- Prior experience in healthcare clerical roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
