Job Summary
The Lab Assistant is responsible for executing essential pre-analytical and post-analytical functions, encompassing specimen processing, data entry into laboratory systems, and the upkeep of workspaces. This role also involves communication with patients and healthcare professionals to guarantee precision in test processing and the preservation of specimen integrity.
Responsibilities
- Process laboratory specimens and execute data entry tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory work areas.
- Engage with patients and healthcare staff to ensure accurate test processing.
- Safeguard the integrity of samples throughout the testing process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of six months’ experience in a healthcare or science-related setting.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous.
- Experience in customer service is preferred.
