Job description
**Job Title: Laboratory Assistant**
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for conducting various laboratory testing procedures, including pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic tasks, while ensuring accurate collection and processing of specimens. This role also involves delivering excellent customer service, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting the training of phlebotomy students and team members. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and are required to obtain a Washington State Medical Assistant Phlebotomist or Medical Assistant certification within six months of employment. Basic Life Support certification must be acquired within three months. Strong verbal communication abilities and proficient computer skills are essential for this position.
