Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Health & Safety Lead/Environmental Chemist to contribute to ecological sustainability and enhance your professional journey. This role involves collaboration with ICF on the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) contract at the newly established Region 9 Laboratory located in Corvallis, Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee laboratory health and safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with environmental safety regulations.
  • Conduct analytical assessments and provide insights on environmental chemistry.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to promote safety and environmental best practices.
  • Assist in training laboratory personnel on safety procedures and emergency response measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in laboratory safety and environmental compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
